Full Stack Developer

Good Tape is building tools that make working with voice and audio effortless. We help journalists, researchers, and organizations capture, transcribe, and analyze conversations at scale. Our team is small, ambitious, and deeply technical and we care about reliability and craft.

The role:

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our product engineering team. You’ll work across the stack and work closely with UX and frontend engineers, backend engineers, and ML engineers to deliver polished, performant, and accessible user experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys taking ownership, and is excited about working end-to-end, from designing APIs to polishing UI interactions.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain core product features in Remix + React + TypeScript

• Work on backend integrations (APIs, databases, infrastructure) to support product functionality

• Collaborate with design and product teams to shape user experience

• Write clean, maintainable code with test coverage

• Contribute to technical discussions and help evolve our architecture

• Participate in code reviews and support team knowledge-sharing

What We’re Looking For

• Strong skills in React and modern TypeScript.

• Experience with backend systems (Node.js, APIs, databases, Postgres is a plus)

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes or similar)

• A product-focused mindset: you care about UX, speed, and reliability

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

• Bonus: exposure to ML/ASR products, or interest in working with AI-driven products
